No one will know your number even if you join any group, WhatsApp is going to bring a surprising feature

WhatsApp, the world's most popular instant messaging platform, is often experimenting with new features. And like that, its mobile app is constantly updated. In that case, it has recently been reported that the company is working on a new privacy feature, which will enable users to hide their phone numbers from other members in a WhatsApp group. The feature has already been spotted in the platform's Android beta (version 2.22.17.23). But since the feature is still under development, beta testers can't use it right now.

If you want, you can keep your number secret from certain members of the group

In this way, users become members of various WhatsApp groups. But there are times when users don't feel comfortable joining familiar-private groups or public groups; Because they don't want their phone number to others. In that case, WABetaInfo, the feature tracker of WhatsApp, has revealed the news of an amazing feature. The Meta-owned company may soon offer users the option to hide phone numbers from specific WhatsApp groups, they said. This feature will be deactivated by default; But when users join a group, they can use this feature as needed to hide their phone number from certain members. The feature is said to be rolling out to Android users initially.

Meanwhile, WABetaInfo has also shared a screenshot to give users a fair idea about this important upcoming feature. They said that the feature will only be available to the WhatsApp community. But since the feature is currently under development and beta testers haven't had a chance to use it yet, there's no definite word on when it will have a stable rollout.

Admins can delete any group message for everyone

Apart from this, it is known that WhatsApp will soon roll out another new feature to improve the quality of group chatting. However, this will give admins more control over the group, as once the feature is rolled out, admins will have the ability to delete group messages for everyone. As previously reported by WABetaInfo, the upcoming feature will be called 'Admin Delete'.

In this case, when the feature arrives, if the admin deletes a message from the group, the rest of the members will receive a notification, that is, everyone in the group will know about the message that the admin deleted (similar to the delete for everyone option). The feature is currently available to beta testers, but everyone will get a chance to use it soon, according to the company.
